d. Mangione is one musician that a lot more people need to be aware of. Imagine slow rocking, intensely building, stormy, almost country blues soul ballads that will make You wonder why d. has not been a more prominently featured performer on our local scene. Maybe it’s her humble nature, but if all the powerful music bursting from the seams is any sign, a lot more people will be noticing her soon with her upcoming move to Seattle. On Friday Feb. 27th “d.” as her friends Continue reading d.Mangione & friends Friday Feb. 27th 7:30pm @ Barking Legs Theater

Friday December 27th, 2013 ArtFRONT Presentations concert
@ Barking Legs Theater
This post contains a spectacular video performance preview of MANDI RAE onstage at Nashville’s Music City Roots.
While all the recent successes in the Chattanooga local music scene are underway as long time players get their due recognition in events like the widely popular Road to Nightfall and local opening spots for major touring artists at venues like Track 29 & Rhythm & Brews and a few headlining spots at those venues as well, there is a current wave of newer artists honing their skills for launch into the sea of music that is originating right here in the scenic city. In collaboration with ArtFRONT Presentations, The Left Field Showcase is our most accessable stage setup for newly emerging local artists. We will be looking to have events monthly, usually on a Thursday night in Barking Legs Theater and possibly other locations as well. These showcases will be among our most economicaly priced ticketed events while retaining all the integrity and pristine sound quality that Barking Legs shows have become known for. Stay tuned for more announcements and developments.
Read our full press release for the first Left Field Showcase, the stripped down Grand Ol’ Opry style evening of music emcee’d by Chattanooga theater maven Jessie Knowles, complete with audio & video.
It can all be done right here, artwork photos, videos, streaming audio, virtually anything You can think of installing on a website, right here in this space. Yep. Below here is an old archived poster design of one of our shows from years past. ~R.
William Fitzsimmons “The best talent available to play here” was the criteria for the ArtFRONT Presentations artist selection from the beginning of the series and William Fitzsimmons has always been on our radar. Since 2005 he has released seven albums but up until now the availability to have him onstage has eluded us here in Chattanooga, that’s why I immediately accepted an offer from Windish Agency (who also sent us Kaki King) when Chattanooga was offered a spot on William’s extensive international concert tour. At that moment I wasn’t aware of an incredible bonus attached to this deal, the inclusion of Ben Solee on this bill. Continue reading William Fitzsimmons & Ben Sollee, Sat. For now just continue to go HERE…! There’s some nice stuff on this page. We’ll probably keep it like it is and continue to add more shows. ~R.
